Based in Doncaster in the north of England, Ecofficiency providers waste and materials management solutions, while its specialist soil sampling and remediation services – designed to reduce the bulk volume of waste by segregating hazardous materials and retaining recycled soils on site – further enhances the range of services that Reconomy Group offers its clients.

According to Reconomy, which has 30 offices worldwide, expanding into this specialism aligns with the group’s mission to achieve a more circular economy where finite resources are preserved at the same time creating value for businesses and supporting economic growth.

The Ecofficiency transaction follows similar moves earlier this year for Denmark-based green-tech business Combineering and British company UK Waste Solutions.

“Ecofficiency enhances our remediation capabilities and will be a fantastic addition to Reconomy as we relentlessly pursue our joint ambition of a more circular, sustainable economy,” said chief executive Guy Wakeley.
